Ahly Dubai doctor : Abd Rabou needs two weeks rest

Ahly Dubai board member and doctor Abdel Hamid El-Atar told “El-Byan” newspaper that the international midfielder Hosny Abd Rabou needs two weeks rest at least to return to games.

The Pharaohs need Abd Rabou ahead of Algeria clash in the last round of FIFA World Cup African Qualifiers on November 14th.

Egypt need to win on 3 goals difference to book their place in World Cup directly or two to get play-off match against Algeria.

The Greens lead Group C with 13 points while the Pharaohs placed second with 10 points.

“Medical scans applied on the player proved he has hamstring ankle injury in addition to knock in ankle” El-Atar said.

El-Atar asserted he contacted Egypt doctor Ehab Ali to clarify for him the case of the Egyptian star and the needed period for his recovery.

It should be noted that Abd Rabou suffered the injury during Ahly Dubai game with El-Sharqa last Sunday in Emirati League.
